Tuscan Imports, Inc. was born out of our own love for Italy. I developed a deep affection for Italy, and especially my wife's home city, Firenze, during the eight years my family lived in the region of Tuscany. I learned to love the culture, the land, the food, the people, and their love for art and craftsmanship. Having mixed feelings about returning to the States, we attempted to carry a part of Italy with us. We applied stucco to our walls, built old brick arches, put a wood burning brick oven in our yard, and brought a large assortment of terra cotta so that we could recreate Italy in our home and garden. We soon realized we were not the only ones who appreciate quality terra cotta! Friends and visitors immediately noticed the obvious difference between the hand crafted items around our home and the terra cotta typically found in retail outlets. We discovered quality terra cotta was difficult to find. As a result, Tuscan Imports, Inc. was born.

We buy directly from workshops in Impruneta and the Siena area where the finest terra cotta in the world is found and produced. Every item we carry is made by hand, using traditional methods passed on from generation to generation. Quality clay, time-tested firing techniques, and the experienced artisan's hand, make each piece unique demonstrating the individual attention given to every item.
